Cedric Coward Higher Than 1.5 Three-Pointers Made
Washington State and Eastern Washington meet tonight in Spokane, WA for a regional match up that almost always delivers. However, Eastern Washington really struggles at defending the three-point line, and Cougars guard Cedric Coward should take advantage.
The EWU Eagles are 358th in three-point shooting percentage against through the first few games of the season. Eastern Washington has allowed opponents to hit 44.7% of their three-pointers this year.
Coward has cleared 1.5 in three out of five games this year. His only misses came in a loss to Iowa and a blowout win over Idaho. Coward should get plenty of chances against a porous defense, and he should go higher than 1.5 three-pointers made in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
Tre Johnson Higher Than 5.5 Rebounds + Assists
The Texas Longhorns get the Syracuse Orange in Brooklyn tonight, and Tre Johnson will fill up the stat sheet on national television.
Johnson has only cleared 5.5 rebounds and assists once this year. He managed nine against Ohio State in the first game of the season. Johnson played 39 minutes against the Buckeyes. He hasn’t played more than 30 in any of the games since.
Johnson should see a much higher usage rate against Syracuse, and put up similar numbers. He hasn’t gotten into foul trouble this year, and he makes his free throws. Johnson should see a bump in his workload in a key early game for the Longhorns, and he should clear 5.5 rebounds and assists for your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry. This is a case of the line telling you what’s going to happen.
VJ Edgecombe Higher Than 8.5 Rebounds + Assists
Baylor heads to the Bahamas to meet St. John’s tonight. You know who else is from the Bahamas? VJ Edgecombe! The freshman hype train gets to play in his home country. However, the situation is only a small part of why this is a tasty match up for Edgecombe.
Edgecombe has gone higher than 8.5 rebounds and assists in two of four games this year. The only games he’s missed are when he played fewer than 30 minutes. He should get a full workload tonight.
Also, Syracuse has struggled to keep bigger guards off the glass. They allowed at least seven rebounds to a guard with similar size to Edgecombe against Youngstown State and Colgate. If the Orange can’t keep Colgate and YSU from grabbing boards, they’ll have little hope against a dynamic player like Edgecombe.
