NFL Week 5 Player Prop Best Bets
Aaron Rodgers Over 33.5 Pass Attempts
The New York Jets take on the Minnesota Vikings this week whose defense has been fantastic this week. Their rush defense is allowing the second least rushing yards per game. Additionally, the Vikings rush defense is allowing the third least yards per carry thus far this season at only 3.8 yards. What does that mean?
Vikings are forcing offenses to throw the football. Let’s take a look at the number of pass attempts this season for opposing quarterbacks against the Vikings, Daniel Jones 42, Brock Purdy 36, C.J Stroud 43, and Jordan Love 54. The Vikings have built big leads in their first four games and I don’t think that changes in this game even though it is being played overseas. I’ll take the Over 33.5 pass attempts.
Zack Moss Under 41.5 Rushing Yards
The Bengals take on the best-rushing defense in the league this season in the Baltimore Ravens. Ravens are #1 in both rushing yards allowed per game and yards per carry. There has been only one running back who has 42+ rushing yards against the Ravens that was Isaiah Pacheco in Week 1 on 15 carries.
The Bengals have a two-running back rotation with Chase Brown and Zack Moss. Moss’s snap counts have diminished in each of the last three weeks. Moss is only averaging 3.9 yards per carry. I believe this will be a tough week for him running the football.
Joe Burrow Over 252.5 Passing Yards
The Bengals will be facing the best rush defense in this league in this game. As a result, this game will be on the shoulders of Joe Burrow. As great as the rush defense has been, the Ravens pass defense leaves more to be desired. The Raven’s defense is allowing 282 passing yards per game on an average of 24 completions on 37 pass attempts. Prior to last week, opposing quarterbacks against the Ravens had thrown for 275+ passing yards.
Stefon Diggs Over 53.5 Receiving Yards
Obviously we know this is the revenge angle of the week and Diggs is saying all the right things to the media. But like any other player, we know they want to stick it to their former team. I know Nico Collins has been the #1 target for this Texans team this season but I believe Diggs will still get his in this game.
Just for reference, since Diggs got traded from the Vikings he has played them twice. The first was in 2022 with the Bills he had 12 receptions for 128 yards. This season in Week 3 with the Texans against the Vikings, Diggs had 10 receptions for 94 yards.
