The Detroit Lions got themselves in a little bit of trouble on Sunday Night Football. They led by 14 points to the let the Rams come back and take the lead. Nonetheless, the Lions were able to force overtime and get the victory. Last season, these two teams faced each other twice. Once during the regular season in Week 6 where the Lions went on the road and got a 20-6 victory.
Additionally, the Buccaneers and Lions matched up in the NFC Divisional Round in Detroit and the Lions were able to have plenty of offensive success. The Buccaneers have double-revenge on their mind as they head into Detroit for this Week 2 matchup.
Best Bets
The Buccaneers and Lions found plenty of success on offense in Week 1. The Lions have been a fantastic team at home in the Jared Goff era. Since 2022, the Lions are 14-6 SU and 14-6 ATS. The Over has also been a very profitable angle that spans 13-7. I believe both offenses will find success in this matchup. The Buccaneers’ receiver group should find success against the Lions secondary. Last week, Stafford was able to throw for 300+ yards and Cooper Kupp had plenty of success.
Don’t be surprised if this game is one of the highest-scoring games of the week. We know the success that Jared Goff has indoors. Until I see improvement from the Lions’ secondary, there’s no reason that Baker Mayfield should not have success in this game. I like this game to soar over the total.
