UFL Playoff Picks, Predictions, and Best Bets

The UFL Playoffs are here! Four teams have made it into the semi-finals and are playing for a spot in the UFL Championship Game. Two of these teams were expected to be the best. Two have completely turned their seasons around from last year. Let’s take a look at the UFL Playoff picks for the weekend!

To add to the fun, we’re going to start a running bank total of fake money. Each week, there will be $10,000 in bets. Because who doesn’t have $10,000 lying around to bet on the UFL? I’m not telling you to bet $10K. I’m just showing you how I would split the unit on these games. Last week, we went 2-2 but hit the Arlington Moneyline for plus money. Let’s see what we have for UFL Playoffs’ best bets!

UFL Playoff Picks, Predictions, and Best Bets

Michigan Panthers @ Birmingham Stallions (-5), Total: 43

The Panthers and the Stallions face off in a Week 10 rematch. The Stallions won last week by one after the Panthers missed an extra point. It was a really close game in which it looked like Michigan could pull the upset off. Which side should we lean for the UFL Playoff picks?

You may think because of last week, we should jump on the Panthers. They’ve been playing pretty good all season. In fact, aside from some quirks on offense they’ve had to work out, they’ve been one of the top teams. A dominating defense and a run game have been their key to success. Bryce Perkins looked like their best quarterback, even though he hasn’t drawn a start.

Unfortunately, Perkins was injured last week and will be out for the season. Can Brian Lewerke keep the offense going for a full game? Can they keep up with the Stallions’ offense?

The Stallions’ high-powered offense seems to have slowed a little as we get closer to the playoffs. However, you have to wonder how much of that is by design. Adrian Martinez earned the starting job after looking like the best quarterback in the league. He was passing and running all over teams.

In the last few weeks, though, Martinez has not been taking off and running wild. Reflecting on his rushing ability, he’s scaled back in the past few weeks. It’s almost as if it’s by design. As if Skip has told his quarterback, we are making the playoffs, so let’s stay healthy. I think in the Playoffs, that changes, and Martinez and the Stallions run wild again.

UFL Playoff Best Bet:  Stallions (-5) ($4,000), Over ($2,000)

San Antonio Brahmas @ St. Louis Battlehawks (-3), Total: 44.5

Rematch number two for the weekend. These teams just played a week ago. Much like the previous game, this one was a close game where the Brahmas could have won with a field goal. They missed it. Will they get the same opportunity this week and be able to make it?

In a coaching aspect, the Son of Bum, Wade Phillips, has much more experience than Anthony Becht. The Battlehawks’ offense has been much better in general this year than the Brahmas. A.J. McCarron is the most experienced quarterback in the league and has shown that he can perform like a true veteran. The Brahmas have started trending up, but will it be enough to keep up with the Battlehawks?

Another main question is whether McCarron is fully healthy. He missed a game two weeks ago and didn’t look fully healthy last week. The Brahmas defensive line has been one of the best all year, but that doesn’t help the Battlehawks with all the offensive line injuries they’ve had. The Battlehawks’ defense isn’t an easy one to move the ball on, either, though.

This is going to be a grind-it-out type of game. The Battlehawks will hope to make some big plays in the air with McCarron to either Butler or Pearson. The Brahmas will want to pound the ball on the field with McFarland (if he’s healthy) and get the ball to Kirklin, who shredded the Battlehawks last week.

However, when push comes to shove, one of these teams has just been more consistent all year. They haven’t needed trick plays and 4th and 12 conversions to win.

UFL Playoff Best Bet: Battlehawks (-3) $2,000, Under $1,000
