Underdog Fantasy College Basketball Picks March 8

Yesterday’s plays featured our third consecutive 2-1 result. Klesmit’s PRA and K.J. Simpson’s assists went green with ease, but Andrej Jakimovski no-showed against Washington. Friday night usually comes with a short slate, but we have dug through the numbers and found three plays that would look good even on a deep slate. Here are my Underdog Fantasy college basketball picks for March 8!

Remember, playing all three of these on Underdog Fantasy would 6X your money on a single three-leg parlay!

DaRon Holmes II (Dayton) Lower Than 33.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists

DaRon Holmes II has an inflated line because he just went off against St. Louis. He posted a 25/13/5 line against the Billikens on Tuesday. Prior to his outburst, Holmes has missed going over 33.5 in each of his last two games.

Holmes also gets VCU in Dayton. He was able to go off against St. Louis because that game was played at a ridiculous pace, and the Billikens don’t play any defense. VCU is one of the slowest teams in the league, and they tend to grind out games by limiting possessions and choking out opponents with their defense.

Holmes only managed 25 PRA in a 49-47 loss against VCU on February 9th in Richmond. This game is in Dayton, but that doesn’t mean VCU will start running and gunning. Look for this one to go at a much slower pace, and Holmes will finish under 33.5 PRA.

Max Rice (Boise State) Higher Than 5.5 Assists+Rebounds

Boise State is heading to San Diego for their last regular season game of the year. The Broncos are still in the mix for a top-three finish in the Mountain West. The top five teams get a first-round bye, but the three-seed gets the winner of the 6/11 match-up. Finishing 4th or 5th would mean they would have to play the 4th or 5th team in the conference.

The Broncos shouldn’t rest their starters for this game, and they’ll need Max Rice to run the point to stay in it.

Rice has gone higher than 5.5 rebounds+assists in eight of his last 10 games. His only misses were against Air Force and San Jose State. He sat because Boise State drilled both teams.

Rice faced off against San Diego State in Boise on January 20th, and he racked up three boards and seven assists in 33 minutes. Look for Rice to continue to distribute and pick up a few loose boards on his way to clearing the 5.5 in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 8.

Ryan Langborg (Northwestern) Higher Than 13.5 Points

It’s senior night in Evanston tonight, and senior Ryan Langborg has a points total of only 13.5 against Minnesota. Langborg averages 12.3 points per game, but that goes up to 14.1 when he plays at home.

Langborg has cleared 13.5 points in five of his last seven. He also went for 16 against Minnesota in Minneapolis on February 3rd.

Look for the senior on senior night, and the trend mirrors the match-up. Make sure he’s in your Underdog Fantasy Pick’em entry for college basketball on March 8.
