FCS Week 10 Picks And Best Bets

FCS Week 10 Picks And Best Bets

It was a small bounce back last week, but we want more. We want that perfect card again. Diving into the FCS, where the action can be crazy. Double-digit dogs can win outright any given day. Favorites can fail to cover the spread by taking their foot off the gas. However, we’re still digging in and seeing how we can make some cash. Let’s take a look at the Week 10 FCS best bets.

MYBOOKIE BONUS

FCS Week 9 Picks And Best Bets

Colgate @ Lehigh (-4.5)

Lehigh is 7-2 and sits atop the Patriot League. They’re ranked number 17 and have a home game against Colgate, who sits at 5-4. The Mountain Hawks have leaned heavily on the run, averaging 248.3 yards per game on the ground with Luke Yoder leading the FCS in rushing yards. They put up 32.1 points per game while the offense controls the line of scrimmage.

Colgate’s defense is top-tier. They’re allowing an average of just 13.9 points per game and rank close to the top in the FCS in interceptions. They just shut out William and Mary 37-0. However, this isn’t William and Mary. The Raiders’ offense only averages 21.6 points, and that won’t be enough to keep up with Lehigh. Home field in Bethlehem plus the rushing volume will keep Lehigh in front.

FCS Week 10 Best Bet: Lehigh -4.5

Valparaiso @ Dayton (-8.5)

The next game on the FCS Week 10 best bets is looking at 7-1 Dayton. They’re rolling at home and have been very consistent, scoring 33.5 points per game behind quarterback Bryce Schondelmyer. They’ve won four straight and enter this game after a 44-34 win over Stetson.

Valpo is 4-4, coming off a bye and a 24-7 win over Presbyterian. However, their offense has been uneven, and they’ve struggled on the road. Dayton’s been the better team and has a nice home-field environment at Welcome Stadium. They’ve got the ability to score in bunches, and I’m not sure Valpo’s defense can hold them.

FCS Week 10 Best Bet: Dayton -8.5

Central Connecticut (-6.5) @ Stonehill

Central Connecticut leads the Northeast Conference at 5-4 with a perfect conference record. They’ve been putting up points by the handful lately, recently beating Robert Morris 49-14. Their recent scoring average sits well above 36 points per game. They’ve also dominated Stonehill, including a 40-10 win last year.

Stonehill is 4-5, and 3-1 in conference play, but they’ve been inconsistent. When push comes to shove, I don’t think their defense can hold Central Connecticut, and I don’t think their offense can keep up. CCSU’s offense has the firepower to cover a short number on the road against a Skyhawks team that has had trouble containing higher-powered attacks like this one.

FCS Week 10 Best Bet: Central Connecticut (-6.5)

Montana State (-12.5) @ Idaho State

It’s risky going back-to-back road games in my FCS Week 10 best bets. However, I feel good about them both. Montana State is ranked third and is the best team in the Big Sky right now. They’re averaging 41.9 points per game and allowing just 18.9. They have a balanced attack and just put up 61 points against Cal Poly.

The Bobcats can control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball and have the talent edge even being on the road in the ICCU Dome. Idaho is a solid team this year, sitting at 6-3. However, their numbers don’t come close to matching Montana State’s in efficiency or scoring. The Bobcats will win this one comfortably.

FCS Week 10 Best Bet: Montana State (-12.5)

FCS Week 10 Parlay

Like last week, I’m going to shoot my shot with an FCS parlay as well. I’m going to stack some favorites. East Tennessee is a -620 favorite against Samford. That’s the biggest play in the parlay. I also like Cornell (-265) on the moneyline at Cornell and Gardner-Webb (also -265) at home on the moneyline against Lindenwood. Finally, I’ll put Montana State -12.5 in as well. They’re my most confident play of the weekend. Add all those together and we have a nice +311 parlay.
