Brewers vs Dodgers National League Championship Series Predictions & Best Bets

You could argue that the real series to determine baseball’s best team this season starts tomorrow with the National League Championship Series, and not the World Series, which kicks off in two weeks. That’s because the two best regular-season teams in the league, the 103-win Milwaukee Brewers and the 100-win Los Angeles Dodgers, will replay last season’s NLCS to determine who gets to the World Series. Here’s who’s going to win, and how you can make money on it.

The Milwaukee Brewers certainly hope that the 2026 National League Championship Series isn’t just a repeat of the 2025 edition, as the Los Angeles Dodgers housed them in that one, sweeping them in four straight games. The Brew Crew only managed one run in each of those four games last season.

But new year, new Brewers? Improving on last season’s franchise-best 97 wins by six more wins this year, you could argue that Milwaukee is indeed a better team this season. They had the most wins in the majors, the best advanced stat rating, the best home record, and the second-best road mark (behind only the Dodgers). Milwaukee ranked ahead of Los Angeles in pretty much every key category, and they won the season series four games to three.

However, this is the Los Angeles Dodgers we’re speaking of, winners of the past two World Series. This is the defending two-time champs who will run out Tarik Skubal, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, and Tyler Glasnow to start the first four games of the series. Plus, the Dodgers have a strong bullpen to back up these four starters when they tire or falter.

Milwaukee ranked second to last in the majors in home runs this season, instead nickel-and-diming their way to victory. Los Angeles outslugged them by 50 dingers in the regular season, and four to three in the postseason. I don’t like the Brewers’ chances at getting enough hits off of this dominant pitching staff to score enough runs in this series, which, as mentioned, was their main issue last year.

I’m not interested in betting Los Angeles on the moneyline to win the series, however, as it’s a bit too steep. I do see this series going longer than last year’s, so betting Dodgers to win in five, six, or seven games are all worthy plays. And I’m continuing to make fun plays on the home run leader in a series, this time going with L.A.’s Max Muncy, who homered twice off of Milwaukee in the regular season, and has hit three dingers in four postseason games this year.

Best Bets: Los Angeles to win series 4-2 (+400); Max Muncy to lead series in homers (+700)
