Football Pick of the Day (October 2nd): NFL Week 4 Spread Pick
Green Bay Packers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Another bites the dust… another starting quarterback that is. Baker Mayfield is the latest of the starting quarterbacks to fall from the number one spot on the depth chart thanks to an injury. His dislocated thumb should keep him out for three weeks, making way for Jalon Daniels to get the first start of his career.
There aren’t really any numbers out there for us to look at with the undrafted rookie, but you have to be inspired by what’s around him. Tampa Bay already had four different pass catchers in double digits in terms of receptions with many of them being short options. That should give the six-year Kansas Jayhawks starter a chance to use some checkdowns and pick up some confidence.
We aren’t just going into this one and blindly picking a team with an undrafted rookie quarterback. In fact, this is even more of a fade of the Packers than it is anything else. Their running game looked listless last Thursday, picking up just 17 total yards on nine carries. Drake London picked up 194 yards in the air and Bijan Robinson picked up 194 yards on the ground against Green Bay last week. If there is a defense that can help Jalon Daniels and Bucky Irving hook up, it’ll be this one.
As a result, I like the home Buccaneers to cover in this one.
