We are back in Atlanta for the 2026 TOUR Championship, where the top 30 players in the FedExCup standings get one final chance to close the season with a win.
For the second straight year, the format is refreshingly simple: 72 holes of stroke play with everybody beginning at even par. No staggered start. No trying to figure out who is actually leading the golf tournament. Thirty players, four rounds, one winner.
TOUR Championship Preview: Accuracy, Course Horses & Two Bets for East Lake
East Lake is a par 70 measuring 7,490 yards, making it a pretty lengthy test considering there are only two par 5s. But despite the yardage, this isn’t necessarily a place where I want to blindly chase distance.
Playing from the fairway creates scoring opportunities here.
We saw that repeatedly on the 2025 leaderboard.
Champion Tommy Fleetwood finished 4th in the field in Driving Accuracy. The two runners-up were Russell Henley, who finished 1st, and Patrick Cantlay, who finished 9th. Go a little further down the leaderboard and the trend continues: T4 finisher Corey Conners was also T4 in Driving Accuracy, while Scottie Scheffler finished 9th in the category.
That gives us a pretty clear starting point this week.
Find players who can consistently put themselves in position off the tee, then trust the rest of the game to create scoring opportunities.
Cameron Young Outright +1500
Cameron Young hasn’t exactly been lighting the world on fire over the last month, but there is one part of his game I absolutely want to buy at East Lake:
The driver.
Young brings the rare combination of being both long and straight off the tee, which can become a massive advantage on a course of this length where finding fairways still matters.
There’s also reason to believe East Lake suits him beyond the statistical profile.
This is a course where we tend to see the same names play well year after year. Experience matters, and Young already owns a T4 finish at East Lake.
He’s also put together an excellent season, headlined by his win at THE PLAYERS Championship. A victory against the best 30 players remaining in the FedExCup race would put one hell of a bow on that year — and potentially strengthen his Player of the Year case in the process.
Young has the driving profile, the course history and the upside.

Ludvig Åberg Top 10 +110
Has everyone just forgotten about Ludvig Åberg?
He hasn’t truly gotten himself into contention lately, but I’m not overly concerned with that when the underlying ball striking continues to look strong.
Sometimes we don’t need to buy the player after the huge result. We want to buy right before it.
That’s where I think we are with Åberg.
We already know the ceiling is world-class. When the driver and irons are clicking together, there are very few players who can make golf look easier from tee to green.
In a 30-man field, we only need him to beat two-thirds of the field to cash a top 10 — and we’re still getting plus money to do it.
I’m buying before the pop.
