The WNBA continues to produce unplayable spreads, at least in my eyes, so we’re sticking around the ballpark for another day. For my best bet for Tuesday (August 18th): MLB Predictions, we’re off to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Let’s get this money!

Athletics vs Kansas City Royals
Start Time: 7:40 PM EST
There aren’t many days that you can make the Kansas City Royals your best bet. The Royals’ 51-74 record is the fourth-worst in the majors (second-worst in the American League), and advanced stats rank them as the second-worst team in the majors. Projected to be about a .500 team this season, the Royals will have to go on an epic run to come close to that.
However, a team even worse than Kansas City, the Athletics, are in town tomorrow. And these Athletics, from parts unknown (West Sacramento), are a pretty rotten baseball team. Not only are the A’s lacking a permanent home, but they also are lacking a transcendent star like the Royals have in Bobby Witt Jr.
Then there’s Tuesday’s pitching matchup. For the visitors, Jack Perkins and his 7.27 ERA and 1.52 WHIP. For the home side, Daniel Lynch IV, with a 2.88 ERA and a 1.02 WHIP, recently returned to the starting rotation and getting a plum matchup in this one.
So it goes without saying that I like the Royals tomorrow. Kansas City on a very reasonable moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
