PGA Championship Betting Preview: Cam Young, Bryson & Long Shots | Stephie Smalls Show 5.12.26

The PGA Championship is here, which means it’s time to pretend we all understand exactly how this course will play. That’s part of the fun. Also part of the fun: letting Larry from Tom & Marty’s Town House talk himself into Cameron Young like he’s reading golf prophecy off a bar napkin.

On this episode of the Stephie Smalls Show, Larry and Stephie break down the second major of the year with best bets, long shots, placement markets and enough golfer anxiety to qualify as a separate weather system.

Scottie Scheffler is still Scottie Scheffler, which means every course is technically a Scottie course. But Larry doesn’t sound terrified of him the way bettors were last year. Rory McIlroy is also in the mix, though the conversation quickly turns to whether this course lets bombers like Bryson DeChambeau simply launch drivers into another zip code and figure out the rest later.

The star of the episode is Cameron Young. Larry is all in, calling him one of the best fits on the board and suggesting this could be the major where Young finally turns all that promise into a trophy. If that happens, Golf Twitter may briefly become profitable, which doctors do not recommend.

Other names discussed include Sam Burns, whose putting could be a major weapon on huge, sloping greens; Xander Schauffele, who remains a strong placement-market option; Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa, Harris English, Jordan Spieth, Tommy Fleetwood, Chris Gotterup, Jason Day, Matt McCarty, Kurt Kitayama and Jacob Bridgeman.

The big theme: nobody knows exactly what this PGA Championship will demand yet. Precision players have a case. Bombers have a case. Elite putters have a case. Basically, it’s a golf betting buffet, and Larry already has three plates.
