Daily NBA Player Props – May 4th
Stephon Castle – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+147)
Castle tore it up beyond the arc in the opening round against the Blazers. He averaged 5.4 attempts from deep per game and went 4-1 against this line. More importantly, those four hits were the last four games of the series – which is a trend I like to see. While Minnesota was good against three-pointers during the regular season, they are notably thin in their perimeter defense for this one. That should allow Castle to keep things going.
OG Anunoby – Over 7.5 Rebounds (+119)
Anunoby had a good first series on the boards. He averaged 8.7 rebounds per game and went 5-1 against this mark. The one miss came in the blowout Game 6 where he played more than 10 minutes below his average. Some of this rebounding success is not a surprise. Atlanta was 18th in the league in terms of rebounding percentage. However, there’s no reason to think that it can’t continue with Philadelphia ranking 23rd in that same category.
Jalen Brunson – Over 6.5 Assists (-127)
Brunson took a bit more of a distributor role towards the end of this series. After shooting 23.7 times per game in the first three games, he averaged just 17.7 shots in the last three. The score was a bit of the culprit there, but also he was dishing at a much higher rate. He had his series-high in dimes with eight in both of the last two games. He should keep that going if the Knicks want to get out to a fast start against a hot 76ers squad.
