We nearly had the NRFI sweep again on Monday, but Ozzie Albies took Tarik Skubal yard in the first to mess it up. Those wound up being the only runs that Skubal gave up all day. Now, we have some NRFI bets for April 30.
Thursday is our usual thin slate of games, but we dug through to find the winners in there. We have NRFI and YRFI props for April 30. Come check out what we have cooked up for this slate of games.

MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – April 30
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Milwaukee Brewers
First Pitch – 1:40 pm EST
American Family Field – Milwaukee, WI
Broadcast – MLB TV
Kicking off this NRFI play for Thursday will be the bats of the Arizona Diamondbacks. This squad has not been good early in the game – just 0.38 first inning runs per game puts them in 22nd in the league. While they’ve been a touch better overall, this points to not being able to get a good read on the pitchers. That should be even harder to do with Brandon Woodruff on the bump. He’s been a touch worse than usual this year, but is still kicking around with a 3.77 ERA. Additionally, he’s locked in for his last few start, going 18.0 innings and allowing just five earned runs (a 2.50 ERA).
To close this one out, we’ll go to an arm that has been surprisingly better than Woodruff. Michael Soroka has found his footing in Arizona and has quickly become a welcomed surprise for the team. He’s 4-0 on the year with a 2.60 ERA – all while fanning 34 batters in just 27.2 innings. Similar to Arizona, the Brewers have been solid at the plate this year, but are stuggling in the first inning. They rank 19th in the league in first inning scoring.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for April 30: No (-130)
Kansas City Royals vs. Athletics
First Pitch – 3:05 pm EST
Sutter Health Park – Sacramento, CA
Broadcast – MLB TV
Our late afternoon NRFI play comes from Northern California and will see the Athletics come to the plate in the top of the first. They’re crawled out of the first inning cellar and are up to 0.30 first inning runs per game. Although that’s a lot better than where they started, it still puts them in 25th place in the league. They’ll get Noah Cameron, who has had a few bad outings in a row. However, I’ll excuse that by him running into some homer heavy bats rather than not being able to get the outs.
The bottom of the inning should be far less sweaty when it comes to NRFI. Kansas City has scored just three first inning runs all year. That is the worst in the league and is only half of the scoring of the 29th ranked team. They aren’t much better across the whole game with their 4.10 runs per game ranking 23rd in MLB. Now Jeffery Springs will look to keep that trend going on Thursday. He’s sitting with a 3.77 ERA this year. Although that might not be ideal, it’s more than good enough to get us out of the first.
NRFI/YRFI Bet for April 30: No (+100)
