Daily NBA Player Props – April 17th
LaMelo Ball – Over 24.5 Points (-102)
LaMelo has been the savior so far for the Hornets as they try to extend their season. I don’t just mean by tripping Bam Adebayo, but also by scoring the rock. He’s hit this total in four of his last five games with the lone exception being when he sat out for a large portion of the season finale. He put up 30 in the first play-in game, and that was on 2-16 shooting from beyond the arc. Expect more accuracy in this one along with more points.
Desmond Bane – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+168)
Bane closed the season with some duds from deep. He also seemed to be resting a bit to get to this point. If you run it back prior to that, he had put up three or more three-points in each of the three games prior. Not only did he end the season with a solid 3-3 record against a +168 prop, but he also drilled four against the 76ers to kick off this tournament. Charlotte gave up 16 threes last time out and Bane should be able to find room to hit three.
Jordan Goodwin – Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+170)
Maybe Goodwin isn’t the big name you want with things on the line Friday, but he has consistently hit this number. He’s gotten multiple deep balls in four straight games. Not only that, but he’s hit in nine of his last 11 games. After hitting three of his six attempts against Portland, he faces a Golden State squad who is even worse at defending from beyond the arc.
