Despite injuries to two key players, the back-to-back defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers are hanging in there this season and have won five of their last six games. It helps that they have one of the league’s hottest players.
That would be center Carter Verhaeghe, who has eight goals in his last 10 games, bouncing back from a weak season last year that saw him only net 20 pucks.
Utah Mammoth vs Detroit Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings also have a player with eight goals in his last 10 games – veteran winger Alex DeBrincat. Always a consistent goal scorer, the 27-year-old has 18 in 33 games this season.
After just missing out on his third career 40+ goal season last year (he ended up with 39), DeBrincat is on pace to get past that mark this season if he keeps up his current level of production.
