Daily NBA Player Props – December 16th
De’Aaron Fox – Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (+154)
Fox has been firing away from deep the last month or so and it’s been paying off for the Spurs. In the six games they’ve played this month, he’s been over this projection in four of them. Additionally, he’s coming off back-to-back games of three and four respectively. Now the Knicks are the opponent for the NBA Cup and they just so happen to be awful against the three ball. They rank 25th in the league with 14.5 makes allowed per game.
Victor Wembanyama – Over 21.5 Points (-118)
Wembanyama retuned from injury against Oklahoma City in the semifinals of the tournament and promptly put up 22 in their upset victory. He’ll get a much easier defense here in the Knicks and one with far less defensive threats in the paint. Additionally, it’s worth noting that he went over this mark in three straight before going down with the injury. I expect him to be getting more of the share in this one, not less.
Josh Hart – Under 8.5 Rebounds (-140)
Once upon a time, I was high on Josh Hart’s rebounds. However, that prop has taken a sharp turn downward as of late. He has pulled down nine rebounds just once this month – a 12 rebound effort against the Magic. To make matters harder for him, the Spurs rank in the top ten in rebounding percentage. Fighting with Wembanyama for boards isn’t going to fall on Josh Hart and, as a result, I expect an easy under here.
