Now that’s what I needed! No more spinning my wheels, because my Week 11 college football picks were perfect. I’m now up to an 11% Return on Investment for the season. Let’s try to grow that even more this weekend. For my college football predictions and best bets for Week 12, we’re off to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon, and Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. Let’s hit the gridiron!
College Football Predictions & Best Bets for Week 12
Minnesota Golden Gophers vs #9 Oregon Ducks
Start Time: 9:00 PM EST (Friday)
We kick things off early this week, getting in on a special Friday Night game in Eugene, Oregon, as the #9-ranked (8-1) Oregon Ducks host the (6-3) Minnesota Golden Gophers in Big Ten action. Only one game separates the two teams in the conference standings (the Ducks are 5-1, the Golden Gophers 4-2), so it’s a pivotal game.
The Ducks seem to be showing up frequently in my plays this season, and I think I’ve been against them every time. This week I certainly am. This despite Oregon being a top-eight team all season and playing at home, where they are 4-1 this season.
But I didn’t say the Golden Gophers would win the game. However, Minnesota is a good enough team with a strong enough defense to keep this game close, which is all we’re looking for.
My line is Oregon -16, so Minnesota plus a lot of points on the spread is my play in this matchup.
Best Bet: Minnesota +25.5 (-109)
#21 Michigan Wolverines vs Northwestern Wildcats
Start Time: 12:00 PM EST
We’re sticking in the Big Ten for my other play, but we’re moving ahead a day to Saturday. The 5-4 (3-3) Northwestern Wildcats host the #21-ranked, 7-2 (5-1) Michigan Wolverines at Wrigley Field in Chicago, their first of two games at Wrigley, as they host Minnesota the following week at the venerable baseball stadium.
And while I can’t guarantee the home fans will go home happy on Saturday, I do think the Wildcats can cover the spread for us. Yes, Northwestern has been spanked the past two weeks, which doesn’t help in arguing my case here. But, as is the case with Minnesota, the Wildcats are a very strong defensive team, and you’d think they would bring their A game to Wrigley.
My numbers say the spread here should be Michigan -6.5, so that makes Northwestern on the spread my play.
Best Bet: Northwestern +13 (-110)
College Football Overall Record: 11-8 (58%)
Profit (based on $100/bet): $203.43
Return on Investment: 11%
