Los Angeles Kings vs Winnipeg Jets

One of my picks for a goal scorer on Saturday is a wild, wild swing, while the other is more of a reliable pick. The safer one would be coming from this game between the 1-1 Los Angeles Kings and the 0-1 Winnipeg Jets.
The Jets lost 5-4 to the Dallas Stars in their season opener, with three of their goals coming off the stick of winger Kyle Connor. This isn’t a huge shock, as Connor netted 41 goals last season and averages 38 per year over his 10-season NHL career.
New York Rangers vs Pittsburgh Penguins
Start Time: 7:00 PM EST
Tied with Connor for second place in the NHL with three goals on the season is an outlier – Pittsburgh Penguins’ right winger Justin Brazeau. After topping out at 11 goals in a season (last year, his only full season in the NHL), the 27-year-old is off to a hot start.
And let’s roll the dice that it continues against the New York Rangers. Brazeau is on Pittsburgh’s second line, centered by Evgeni Malkin, as well as getting power play time, so the opportunities will be there for him.
