The action for Summer League heads out to San Francisco on Tuesday with plenty of teams in action one last time before Las Vegas. Amongst them are a team we hit as an underdog just a couple days ago. They once again are posted that way, and we’re once again in on the pick. Here’s my NBA Summer League prediction and best bet for Tuesday, July 8th.

NBA Summer League Predictions & Preview For July 8th
Los Angeles Lakers vs San Antonio Spurs
Start Time: 10:00 PM EST
The Spurs went into their second Summer League game as an underdog. After we talked about all the value on their moneyline, they went on to cash with a 90-88 win over the Warriors. That is even without their top two picks playing at all.
There is still not a clear answer as to whether Carter Bryant and Dylan Harper will be on the court, but I sort of don’t care. Their starting lineup on Sunday shot lights out from deep, making 50% of their deep balls. Additionally, they got a lot of support off of the bench from Jameer Nelson Jr. – who is an absolute magnet for fouls.
In addition to liking what the Spurs are doing, I don’t like the run that the Lakers are on. They may have won their last game, but they are giving a lot of minutes to Dalton Knecht, who has been terrible. He’s 5-for-20 from the field and 0-of-9 from three-point. Add in too many minutes being given to Bronny James and I think the Spurs should roll here.
