TAMPA BAY RAYS VS BALTIMORE ORIOLES
Start Time: 1:35 PM EST
This Tampa Bay Rays vs the Baltimore Orioles series has been a case of kill or be killed. The Orioles won Game 1 by the ridiculous score of 22-8. Then the Rays returned the favor on Saturday, winning 11-3. In fact, the six games these divisional rivals have played this season have all been blowouts, more or less.
But the Rays are the far superior team in this matchup, so they have to be my choice to win the series tomorrow afternoon. The Orioles are a mediocre team, at best (they’ve played .500 ball over the past month or so, so the epitome of mediocre), while the Rays are a top-five team in the league based on advanced stats.
And Tampa Bay is the best road team in the majors this season (probably relieved to get out of the minor league park they’re currently calling home). Even with the home field advantage, I have the Rays as about a 1.5 run favorite on Sunday.
