I’ve hit up Oriole Park at Camden Yards a few times already this season for my best bet, but it’s not to put money down on the home team. No, the Baltimore Orioles still stink. They went 18-12 over their last 30, which is a big improvement, but are back to sucking again as of late, dropped two straight and four of their past five.
The visitors tomorrow night, the Tampa Bay Rays, continue to do Tampa Bay Rays things, consistently winning games (7-3 in their last 10, 14-6 in the past 20, 21-9 in their past 30). The advanced stats have them ranked as the fifth-best team in the majors this season.
To kick off their three-game series against the Orioles tomorrow, the Rays send Ryan Pepiot to the mound, who is having a strong season. He’s also already faced Baltimore this year, allowing one run while striking out 11 over eight innings.
The Tampa Bay Rays on the very playable moneyline is my best bet for Friday.
