The Stanley Cup will be in the building for the first time this season tomorrow night as Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals goes down in Florida. Edmonton Oilers vs Florida Panthers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
After laying another egg in Game 5 (that’s two eggs in the past three games – they’re fertile), the Edmonton Oilers are on the brink of losing in the Stanley Cup Finals to the Florida Panthers for the second straight year. And if playing on enemy ice for Game 6 isn’t tough enough (that’s the same ice they lost Game 7 last year on), they still don’t even know who they’ll be starting in net.
Both Game 5 starter Calvin Pickard and his predecessor, Stuart Skinner, have had their moments on this playoff run, but they’ve had too many bad ones, as well, to be totally trusted.
With a shaky situation in net (as per usual for the Oilers) and having to play on the road, I don’t see Edmonton forcing a Game 7. Florida on the moneyline is my best bet for Tuesday.
