I wrote heading into Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals that this series was so close it made sense to take the road dog. Then the Edmonton Oilers went out and got plastered 6-1 by the Florida Panthers. Edmonton Oilers vs Florida Panthers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
After two epic overtime games to start this series off, the Florida Panthers blew things open in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead. A win in Game 4 on their home ice would put them one win away from winning back-to-back Stanley Cups.
However, I still think that the Edmonton Oilers are going to steal a game on the Amerant Bank Arena ice during this series. They are 6-4 away from Edmonton during the playoffs, and have won six of their last eight road games. And they still have the two best players in the series in Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. The injuries to Zach Hyman (out for the series) and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (he’s probably going to play tomorrow but seems very limited) are concerning, but that’s one of the reasons we’re getting plus money.
Let’s go back to the well. Edmonton on the moneyline is my best bet for Thursday.
