Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers
Start Time: 8:00 PM EST
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers are not messing around. I questioned picking against them last game in case they were as good as they appeared to be in Game 1 – it turns out they are even better. They are now the big favorite to lift the Stanley Cup again next month.
The Carolina Hurricanes are a dynamite team at home, and Florida spanked them in both games this series (and was one of their nine home losses in the regular season as well). One place the Hurricanes aren’t dynamite is on the road, only managing a 16-21-4 away record during the regular season (they are 3-2 in the postseason).
There’s a chance that the Hurricanes steal one on the road (especially if I pick against them here), but there’s a better chance that Florida sweeps them on their way to another Stanley Cup Finals. Florida on the moneyline (and a pretty decent line at that) is my best bet for Saturday.
