Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks

Start Time – 8:00 PM EST

I picked the Indiana Pacers to cover the spread in Game 1 against the New York Knicks, and they said “Hold my beer” and went out and won the damn game. Now we head into Game 2 with the Knicks an even bigger favorite on the spread. Hmm.

Heading into this series, I noted that the Pacers were 4-1 in the playoffs away from Indianapolis – make that 5-1 now. And that the Knicks were only 3-3 at Madison Square Garden heading into the series – make that 3-4 now. That’s something that should probably be given more attention – that the Knicks are really struggling to win playoff games in front of their home crowd.

My line for Game 1, which was the same as the official number at the books, was New York -4.5. After Wednesday’s performance and another loss on their home court, I’d make the Knicks a smaller favorite for tomorrow night. Instead, the number has gone the other way. That’s fine by me, because I’m on the other side of it.

Indiana plus the points is my play for Friday.
