The UFC might technically be off this coming weekend, but they are still running events on Thursday and Friday. The UFC Performance Institute Shanghai hosts the fourth season of Road to UFC. Flyweights, bantamweights, featherweights, and lightweights will battle in eight-person tournaments to try to be crowned the Road to UFC Champion and earn a place on the UFC roster. Road to UFC: Shanghai Episode 2
Main Card Start Time: 10:00 AM EST – Thursday (UFC Fight Pass)
Thursday’s main event is a Road to UFC: Shanghai opening round featherweight tournament fight between China’s Kaiwen Li and South Korea’s Dong Hyun Seo. And, since this is an underdog article, we’re going with the dog, Seo.
Li is probably being favored here because he’s 2-0 in previous seasons of Road to UFC, but he also is a very pedestrian 14-6. Seo is 7-2-1, has won four straight fights, and has a berserker counter striking style that should be a nightmare matchup for Li.
