MMA Regional Pick of the Week: KSW 106
KSW Middleweight Fight: Damian Janikowski vs Laïd Zerhouni
Card Start Time: Saturday (5/10), 1:00am EST (KSW PPV)
One of my favorite plays on the regional scene this weekend is Laïd Zerhouni. The French fighter opened up as a +115 underdog on the books and has been bet into a comfortable favorite. Despite the line moving opposite of the direction that we were hoping for, I still think he has value here.
One of the big reasons I like him here is that he’s diverse. He’s equally likely to turn your lights off with big striking as he is to take your back and get a rear naked choke. On the other side, Janikowski is sort of takedown or bust in this one. He’ll need to use his Greco-Roman background to get this fight to the mat.
I’m seen Zerhouni do well shucking off lazy takedown attempts. If he does that, he should cruise to a victory on the feet.
