Best Bet For Monday (April 21st): NHL Predictions
St. Louis Blues vs Winnipeg Jets
Start Time: 7:30 PM EST
We cashed our Winnipeg Jets play on Saturday, but it was a sweat, as the #1 seed had to score three times in the third period to escape with a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Blues on their home ice. Was this just a blip, and the Jets will be back to dominating tomorrow?
I’m going with a yes as the answer to that question, and I’m backing Winnipeg once again. Not only are the Jets the second-best team at home this season, but they are the top team in the NHL with the top goalie, Connor Hellebuyck (although he played poorly in Game 1, a trend for him over the past few postseasons). And the Blues have not been playing good hockey for a while, with Utah being the only team they’ve beaten over the past two weeks (1-4).
Look for Winnipeg to hit the road to St. Louis up 2-0 in the series. The Jets on the moneyline is my best bet for Monday.
