Brice Williams Higher Than 1.5 3-Pointers Made
Nebraska draws Boise State in today’s College Basketball Crown semifinal match up. Let’s look for Cornhuskers guard Brice Williams to splash a couple three’s in this game.
Williams made four three’s in his first-round match up in the CBC. In his second round match up, Williams sank five three’s. He also enters this game averaging 1.9 3-pointers made per game. Williams clearly has the green light, and most of the CBC games have been played at a faster tempo than most teams played during the season. Look for Williams to get the ball up more often than usual, and sink at least a pair.
Boise State allowed opponents to shoot 8-for-26 from long range in the first round. Butler shot 13-for-31 from deep against Boise State in the quarterfinals. The Broncos allowed opponents to shoot 34.4% from deep during the season. That was 217th in the nation. Boise State has struggled to defend the perimeter this year, and it’s been made worse by the faster tempo they’ve played in his tournament. That plays into Williams making at least two three-pointers, and you’ll want to lock him into your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
Eric Dixon Higher Than 2.5 3-Pointers Made
Let’s ride with another three-pointer projection for the second semifinal match up of the College Basketball Crown. Villanova goes up against the Very Golden Knights of Central Florida in their game today. Wildcats forward Eric Dixon has put on a show in the first two rounds. Let’s run it back with Dixon here.
Dixon sank three three-pointers in his first-round match up against Colorado. He followed that with five made three’s against USC in the second round. Dixon enters this game averaging 3.0 made three-pointers per game this year.
Central Florida allowed opponents to shoot 32.9% from deep this year. That’s 115th in the nation, but they have a depleted roster. UCF held what’s left of Oregon State to 4-for-19 shooting from deep in the first round, but allowed Cincinnati to shoot 12-for-34 from long range in the second round.
The UCF leftovers did well against a limited Oregon State team, but Cincinnati had most of their guys, and the Very Golden Knights struggled. Villanova has one of the best shooters in the country in Dixon, and he should find plenty of room and several chances to sink at least three shots from beyond the arc. Look for Dixon to go higher than 2.5 3-pointers made in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for April 5th.
Miles Kelly Higher Than 11.5 Points
Florida faces SEC rival Auburn in today’s Final Four match up. Florida beat Auburn earlier this year, but Miles Kelly had a massive game in a losing effort. Let’s ride with Kelly to score about a dozen points in today’s match up.
Kelly enters today’s game averaging 11.4 points per game this year. He had a great game against Alcorn State in the first round, but struggled to score in the next three games. Kelly burned the Florida Gators for 22 points on February 8th. He also ended the season on a hot streak. Kelly went higher than 11.5 points in five of his last six games played.
Kelly was given license to shoot at will in the first game he played against Florida. It stands to reason that he should have a similar green light here. He’s also capable of getting to the hoop, shooting from deep, and making his free throws. Kelly has several paths to going higher than 11.5 points in this one, and looks like one of the safer projections on the board. Let’s ride with Kelly to go higher than 11.5 points in today’s Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
