Florida vs Auburn NCAA Semifinal Preview, Predictions, and Best Bets
Florida Gators
The 2025 Florida Gators men’s basketball team stormed into the NCAA Tournament with a 31-4 record. Under coach Todd Golden, they secured a No. 1 seed after winning the SEC Tournament. Led by stars Walter Clayton Jr. and Alijah Martin, they’re now in the Final Four. Their explosive offense has overwhelmed their opponents throughout the bracket.
In the tournament, the Gators have showcased their depth, defeating Norfolk State, UConn, Maryland and Texas Tech. Clayton’s clutch scoring sparked dramatic comebacks, like the Elite Eight win over Texas Tech. The team’s relentless runs have turned games in their favor, earning a rematch with Auburn. The Gators are aiming for its third national title in San Antonio.
Auburn Tigers
The 2025 Auburn Tigers men’s basketball team entered the NCAA Tournament as the No.1 overall seed. Led by Johni Broome, they dominated with a 28-5 regular-season record. Coach Bruce Pearl guided them to the Final Four in San Antonio. Their tough defense stifled opponents throughout their run.
Auburn’s tournament path included wins over Alabama State, Creighton, Michigan and Michigan State. Broome paint presence and Denver Jones’ perimeter defense shone brightly. They will take on Florida in the Final Four, seeking revenge from an earlier loss. The Tigers aimed for their first national championship.
Florida vs Auburn NCAA Semifinal Preview, Predictions, and Best Bets
The Pick: Florida -2.5 (-110)
This is going to be a fantastic game between two juggernauts coming out of the SEC. I think with the injury Auburn is dealing with in Johni Broome is going to be too much to overcome. Florida has too much depth especially down low with Alex Condon and Rueben Chinyelu.
Walter Clayton Jr has shown this tournament why he is the best PG in the country, putting the team on his back. I believe the Gators are going to dominate the boards which could be the difference in the game.
Player Prop: Johni Broome Under 19.5 Points (-118)
Johni Broome faces a tough Florida defense in the Final Four. The Gators frontcourt, led by Alex Condon, limits paint scoring effectively. Broome averaged 16 points this season, but Florida held him to 14 earlier this year. I’m betting the under 19.5 points due to their stifling interior presence.
Florida’s game plan will focus on doubling Broome, forcing Auburn to rely on outside shots. His tournament average hovers around 17, below the 19.5 line. The Gators physicality disrupted him in their last meeting, causing turnovers. I expect a low-scoring, defensive battle, supporting the under.
