This has been THE year for basketball in the Southeastern Conference. The South Carolina Gamecocks are back in the championship game on the women’s side, and the conference is guaranteed to have a representative in the men’s finals, as well, as conference rivals the Florida Gators and the Auburn Tigers battle tomorrow in one-half of the Final Four.
These two teams tangled once in the regular season, with Florida beating Auburn on their home court by nine points. Will the Tigers get their revenge on the biggest stage tomorrow? Perhaps, but that’s not my best bet for Saturday. Instead, we’re making a play on the spread.
After crunching my top-secret, always-correct advanced stats, I have this game lined up as Auburn -1.5, so there is plenty of value on the Tigers on the spread.
