After a two-week international foray (London! Mexico City!), the UFC octagon is back setting up shop in the UFC Apex this coming weekend. Sigh. But at least we don’t have middleweights in the main event (although the main card kicks off with two 185-pound fights). For my MMA Prop Play of the Week: UFC Vegas 105, I’ve got a play for the curtain-jerking fight of the night. Let’s get it on, c’mon!

MMA Prop Pick of the Week: UFC Vegas 105
UFC Fight Night: Emmett vs Murphy (aka UFC Vegas 105)
Start Time: 6:00 PM EST (ESPN/ESPN+)
Saturday evening kicks off with a hastily arranged women’s strawweight bout between Loma Lookboonme and Istela Nunes. Nunes stepped into this fight as an injury replacement just a couple of weeks ago, after Ariane Carnelossi pulled out.
Fighting as a late replacement drastically reduces your odds of winning, plus Nunes has dropped four straight and five of six. It also helps that Lookboonme is actually good, going 6-2 in the UFC. However, the Thai fighter doesn’t finish fights, with only one career knockout and one career submission victory. Lookboonme via decision is my prop play of the week.
