While the UFC continues to be the king when it comes to MMA and gambling, there is more MMA than ever to bet on now. The advantage here is that the data is usually quite a bit less sharp than when you’re making MMA predictions for the UFC. So we’ve decided to dig into some each week to get you started on your regional MMA journey. This week we head overseas for LFA 205 from Brazil for our regional MMA pick.

MMA Regional Pick of the Week: LFA 205
LFA bantamweight Fight: Vinicius Pires vs Lionel Abojer
Card Start Time: Friday (3/28), 8:00pm EST (UFC Fight Pass)
There’s not a ton on this regional card that isn’t very chalky. In fact, there are almost no underdogs that I see real value on. The main event is no different, where I think we have a wild mismatch. However, dispite the wide discrepancy in skills, we don’t have an out of control line.
Vinicius Pires comes in as a three-to-one favorite, but I really do think this is a fight where it should be nearing four digits. Pires has been solid in his last couple fights. He has a well-rounded game with his only real flaw being that he takes a shot to give one sometimes.
Meanwhile, Lionel Abojer has struggled in his last couple fights. While he pulled off the win in his last one, he was getting beat until he clipped his opponent. He should get the chance to do that in this one, so I’m liking the favorite to cash for us on Friday.
