Walter Clayton Jr. Higher Than 2.5 3-Pointers Made

Florida squares off with UConn today in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The Huskies enter this game allowing opponents to shoot 34.6% from three-point range this year. That’s 232nd in the nation. This is a great spot for Florida guard Walter Clayton Jr. to sink a few three’s.

Clayton enters this game averaging 3.0 made three’s per game this year. He’s gone higher than 2.5 3-Pointers made in five straight games. Clayton also comes into this game shooting 38.0% from beyond the arc for the season.

Clayton will fire from deep if he has half a look, and that’s likely what he’ll get against UConn today. We just watched Oklahoma guard Jeremiah Fears go 2-for-3 from deep against the Huskies. Clayton is a much better shooter, and he’s fearless when it comes to firing from deep. Look for Clayton to get his looks, and he should make at least three shots from three-point range today.

Sean Pedulla Higher Than 2.5 Turnovers

Ole Miss has to face Iowa State in the second round of the NCAA tournament this afternoon. Iowa State’s defense generates 15.4 turnovers per game on average this year. Now, that comes with a lot of games with guard Keshon Gilbert. Gilbert will be out for the entire NCAA tournament this year. Iowa State’s defense is still nasty, and Ole Miss point guard Sean Pedulla will struggle.

Pedulla enters this match up averaging 2.1 turnovers per game this year. However, he’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in six of his last nine games played. We also just watched Pedulla turn the ball over five times against North Carolina in the first round.

Pedulla will likely draw Iowa State guard Tamin Lipsey more often then not when Ole Miss has the ball. Lipsey will pick his pocket, force bad passes, and get Pedulla to make other mistakes. Pedulla should play 35 minutes or more in today’s game. If he’s on the floor for that much time, he’ll hand the ball over a handful of times. Let’s ride with Pedulla to go higher than 2.5 turnovers in today’s Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Jeremy Fears Jr. Higher Than 0.5 Steals

Michigan State draws New Mexico in the second round of the NCAA tournament today. The Lobos allow opponents to take the ball away 6.9 times per game on average. That’s 226th in the nation, and we just watched Marquette rack up seven steals against New Mexico.

Jeremy Fears, Jr. comes into this match up averaging 1.1 steals per game this year. However, he’s among the most consistent thieves in the nation. Fears has racked up at least one steal in 26 of 33 games played this year. He’s gone higher than 13 of his last 16 games played.

At times, the New Mexico backcourt struggles with turnovers, and Michigan State is known for bringing a nasty defense in March. Look for Fears to poke at least one ball away or get in front of one off-target pass. Lock up Fears for more than 0.5 steals in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 23rd.
