The linemakers are pretty sharp on tomrorow’s games, as most of their spreads match my own. But I still think I’ve found us a winner. Tomorrow’s victim of my cruelty is the lowest-ranked team left in the tournament, the Colorado State Rams, ranked 42nd overall by KenPom. I had the Rams picked to win their first-round game, so I thank them for their service, but they’re yesterday’s news now. The Maryland Terrapins, ranked 11th overall in the nation, are obviously the superior team in this matchup.
After diving into the advanced stats I use to calculate my spreads, I’ve come up with Maryland -9.5, so while it’s not a slam dunk, the Terrapins on the spread are still my best bet for Sunday.
