Dallas Hobbs Higher Than 1.5 Turnovers

Mount St. Mary’s draws Iona in the MAAC tournament final. Iona is really good at generating turnovers. The Gaels’ defense averages 15.7 turnovers generated per game this year. That’s the fifth highest average in the nation.

Dallas Hobbs comes into the final averaging 2.7 turnovers per game. He’s gone higher than 2.5 turnovers in three of his last four games played. Hobbs also faced Iona once this year. On February 6th, Hobbs turned the ball over six times in 35 minutes against the Gaels.

Hobbs, and Mount St. Mary’s in general, plays loose with the ball. Iona does a great job of getting offenses to make mistakes. Dallas Hobbs will make at least three mistakes in the final. You’ll want to go higher on his turnovers projection in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 15th.

Dain Dainja Higher Than 7.5 Rebounds

Memphis and Tulane square off in an AAC tournament semifinal match up this afternoon.

Tulane comes into this game allowing opponents to average 35.8 rebounds per game this year. That’s 259th in the nation.

Memphis big man Dain Dainja enters this match up averaging 7.0 rebounds per game this season. He’s gone higher than 7.5 in six of his last eight games played. Dainja also faced the Tulane Green Wave once this year. On January 30th, Dainja grabbed 10 boards against Tulane.

Dainja should play 30 minutes or more against a team that has struggled to keep him off the glass. He’s been a monster on the boards recently and should continue to succeed against a Tulane team that’s a little soft in the pain. Lock up Dainja to go higher than 7.5 rebounds in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Jaden Akins Higher Than 12.5 Points

Wisconsin and Michigan State meet up in a Big Ten conference tournament semifinal match up today.

The Wisconsin Badgers come into this game allowing opponents to shoot 33.2% from beyond the arc. That’s 131st in the nation. Wisconsin also allows opponents to average 70.7 points per game this year. That’s 117th in the nation. This Badgers team is really good, but they can also allow teams to shoot well from beyond the arc, and put up points.

Both of those reasons are why we’re rolling with Michigan State guard Jaden Akins to go higher than 12.5 points against Wisconsin today. Akins has also gone higher than 12.5 points in two of his last four games played. However, one of those games was against the Wisconsin Badgers. Akins racked up 19 points in 31 minutes against Wisconsin on March 2nd. He also went 4-for-9 from deep against the Badgers.

Akins should play 35 minutes or more today. He’s played 27 and 31 in Michigan State’s first two tournament games. When Akins plays 30 minutes or more in a conference game, he’s scored higher than 12.5 points in four of our six occurrences. Akins will play a ton, get his shots, and end the game higher than 12.5 points against Wisconsin.
