College Basketball Picks March 13
Oregon -1.5 vs. Indiana
Dana Altman has done it again. 15 straight seasons with 20 or more wins. Altman is easily one of the most underrated coaches in the nation. The Ducks won seven consecutive games to end the regular season and will likely have a lower seed in the NCAA Tournament than they have in the Big Ten Tournament (8).
Oregon’s combination of size and elite guard play will make them a tough out in both tournaments. Nate Bittle is not only leading the team in scoring but is also averaging 2.2 blocks per game.
Indiana, on the other hand, is one of the more disappointing teams of the season. I give them credit for not folding down the stretch of the season with Mike Woodson essentially quitting on the team. The reality is Indiana might be one of the more talented teams in the country, but they have failed to put all the pieces together.
I’ll be rolling with the better coach and the better team throughout the season. Go Ducks!
