Robert McCray Higher Than 3.5 Assists

Jacksonville draws North Alabama in tonight’s ASUN Championship Semifinal. This game will be played at Flowers Hall in Florence, AL. These two teams have played twice this year, and Robert McCray went higher than 3.5 assists in both games.

McCray enters this game averaging 4.1 assists per game away from Jacksonville. He’s gone higher than 3.5 assists in each of his last two games, and four of his last six conference road games. McCray has faced North Alabama twice this year, and he’s posted seven and four assists in those two games.

The North Alabama Lions have allowed opponents to average 13.5 assists per game this year. That’s 194th in the nation.

McCray should play close to 40 minutes in this one, and he can’t score every point for the Jacksonville offense. In addition to being the Dolphins top scorer, he’s also their top distributor. The offense flows through him.

North Alabama will likely try to slow him down and leave teammates open a few times, and he’s been very good at finding them. Lock up McCray to go higher than 3.5 assists in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.

Jacari Lane Higher Than 19.5 Points

On the other side of the ASUN Championship Semifinal is North Alabama. The play here is to take Lions leading scorer Jacari Lane to go higher than 19.5 points in this match up.

Lane comes into this match up averaging 18.2 points per game at home this year. He’s gone higher than 19.5 points in six of his last seven games overall. Lane has also scored more than 20 points in four straight conference home games.

North Alabama has faced Jacksonville twice in regular season play. Lane only scored 15 points at Jacksonville, but he racked up 25 points when playing against the Dolphins in Florence.

Jacksonville struggles to defend the perimeter, and has allowed opponents to shoot 34.3% from beyond the arc. That’s 211th in the nation. They also allow opponents to average 19.3 free throw attempts per game. That’s 187th in the nation. Lane can shoot from distance and is at 79% from the free-throw line this year.

Lane should play close to 40 minutes, and he should get plenty of looks and get to the line for freebies. Look for Lane to continue his hot streak and go higher than 19.5 points in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for March 6th.

Payton Sandfort Higher Than 1.5 Turnovers

The Iowa Hawkeyes are right on the edge of the Big Ten Conference Tournament. The top 15 teams in conference standings get in, and Iowa is currently 16th but has the same record as USC.

Iowa should play their regulars a full workload in this match up against Michigan State. The Spartans have clinched a share of the conference regular season championship.

Sandfort comes into this game averaging 2.1 turnovers per game at home. He also averages 31.7 minutes per game. He should play close to a full 40 minutes in this one, and is one of the key ball handlers for the Hawkeyes.

Sandfort has gone higher than 1.5 turnovers in four of his last five games. He’s also had at least two turnovers in five out of nine conference home games.

Michigan State is nasty on their perimeter defense, but they don’t always generate a significant amount of turnovers. However, we’re going to ride with the trend on Sandfort and the athletes versus staples match up that we have here. Let’s ride with Sandfort to go higher than 1.5 turnovers against Sparty in our Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry.
