Oktagon Weltweight Fight: Zoran Solaja vs Lukas elias
Card Start Time: Saturday (2/1), 12:00pm EST (Oktagon PPV)
The prelims of this card have more than a few fights between fighters who are light on MMA experience. While this is one of them, that doesn’t mean that they are not experienced in combat arts.
Zoran Solaja comes from a boxing and kickboxing background. He looks solid on the feet and comes with a big power punch. While he’s struggled a bit with takedowns in the past, his jiu jitsu has mostly held up over the course of his short career.
Elias, on the other hand, is head and shoulders behind on the striking He may have some submission wins, but those look dubious on tape to put it mildly. Plus, with every fight starting on the feet, he’ll have to survive some amount of time with Solaja throwing hands with him – and that’s something I’m not convinced he can do.
