There’s only one NFL Wild Card game left, but we have a short slate of college hoops tonight. You can put the last Monday night football game of the year on one screen, and dedicate your other screens to college hoops. Also, as long as we have a few games on the schedule, we can build an Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry. We’ve found three plays that you’ll want to use for an entry on January 13.
Keep in mind that playing all three legs of our plays in Underdog Fantasy could win you 6X your money on a single entry. Let’s dig into tonight’s plays and remember to let it ride!

Lu’Cye Patterson Higher Than 1.5 Turnovers
Maryland hosts the Minnesota Golden Gophers tonight. This is a great spot to go higher than 1.5 turnovers for Golden Gophers guard Lu’Cye Patterson.
Patterson comes into this one averaging 1.5 turnovers per game on the road. He’s gone higher than 1.5 turnovers in two of his last three games and two out of four road games.
The Maryland Terrapins defense averages 15.8 turnovers caused per game. That’s 13th in the nation. They also generate a turnover on 19.8% of opponent possessions. That’s 11th in the nation.
The Terps are nasty on defense, and this is a great spot to fade a player that should be out there for more than 30 minutes. We don’t give out turnover props on Underdog Fantasy college basketball entries often, but when we do it’s spots like this. Let’s get these TOs.
Derik Queen Higher Than 6.5 Rebounds
The Minnesota Golden Gophers are a poor rebounding team, and they’re on the road. Minnesota allows opponents to grab 35.3 rebounds per game. That’s 210th in the nation.
Maryland big man Derik Queen averages 8.2 rebounds when he plays at home. Queen has also gone higher than 6.5 rebounds in nine out of 16 games this season.
This is a case of the player, the spot, and the trend aligning. This is a great spot to lean into Queen, and he should go higher than 6.5 rebounds against Minnesota. Lock him up for you Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for tonight.
Tyler Bilodeau Higher Than 15.5 Points
We’re playing with fire a little with this one. The rule is to never fade The RAC, but that only counts for point spreads, right?
UCLA forward Tyler Bilodeau just went for 18 on the road at Maryland. Maryland is arguable a better team and a tougher defense. He’s also gone higher than 15.5 points in two straight and three of his last five.
Rutgers allows opponents to score 74.6 points per game. That’s 223rd in the nation. They also allow opponents to shoot 51.6% on two-point shots. This Rutgers team isn’t great defensively.
It’s always dangerous to bet against Rutgers at home, but it’s a short slate and we need decent plays. Look for Bilodeau to go higher than 15.5 points in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for January 13th.
