MMA Prelim Pick of the Week: Oktagon 65
Oktagon Lightweight Fight: Mateusz Legierski vs Agy Sardari
Start Time: 12pm EST (Oktagon.tv)
While it the million euro Tipsport Gamerchanger finals that is drawing all the attention, it’s the alternate bout that I think has the best value of the night. Both of these men were eliminated from the tournament courtesy of finalist and favorite Losene Keita.
The performance of Mateusz Legierski in that fight gave me all the confidence I need for this one. Legierski is a guy who always relied on his wrestling. He should again have an advantage in the realm in this fight. However, in his fight with Keita, an injury prevented him from shooting at all. Even so, he stood with the power-puncher and held his ground. He even landed big once himself in there.
All of that should play up against Sardari, who is likely looking for a similar kind of fight. Plus, I think the heathy Legierski should be able to wrestle a round or two off him here.
