College Basketball Picks December 5
Penn State -1.5 vs. Purdue
Purdue is the only top-25 team playing tonight. The eighth-ranked Boilermakers travel to Penn State to face a tough Nittany Lions squad. Purdue’s high-flying, action-packed offense should definitely present some issues for this weaker Penn State defense. The experience of the veteran guards Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer will loom large in a raucous environment.
I know Penn State is simply not the caliber of team that Purdue is, yet this line favoring Penn State makes me think the Nittany Lions come out of the gates swinging in this one. In a huge Big Ten matchup, give me the home team.
