This is the last week of the fantasy football regular season and the last of the trade deadlines. Today we are going to talk about 6 league-winning fantasy football trade targets. First, we will look at the strength of the schedule to help give us some teams to target. At this point, we have a great idea of what defenses to target. You do not want to go into the playoffs with lineup decisions to make. Condense some of that depth into blue-chip players. We play for first place, now is the time to go all in.

6 League-Winning Fantasy Football Trade Targets
This includes Week 14 schedules and is ranked by points allowed per game per position. On the opposite side of things, we have some tough matchups and potential fantasy football trade targets to sell. The Detroit Lions have the toughest schedule for Quarterbacks, which makes Jared Goff a player to trade away. Pacheco and Hunt struggled this week, they draw the worst schedule for Running Backs the rest of the season. The Cowboys have the worst remaining schedule for fantasy wide receivers, should you trade CeeDee Lamb? We talk about all of this and more on the latest episode of five-minute fantasy football.
Rank | QB | RB | WR | TE | K | D/ST |
1 | Titans | Eagles | Patriots | Buccaneers | Giants | Buccaneers |
2 | Buccaneers | Lions | Giants | Giants | Jaguars | Commanders |
3 | Falcons | Cardinals | Jets | Cardinals | Buccaneers | Colts |
4 | Eagles | Jets | Rams | Eagles | Commanders | Bengals |
5 | Cardinals | Buccaneers | Chargers | Lions | Texans | Cardinals |
Buy
QB, Kyler Murray – Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray is a player that you can buy low right now and one of my favorite fantasy football trade targets. But, his upcoming schedule is elite and he is on a team that could still win their division. We know Murray has the rushing upside that could win you any week. He has great weapons with Trey McBride and Marvin Harrison Jr. This week he gets Seattle Seahawks (16th) and the last time he played Seattle he threw for 285 yards. Then he gets the New England Patriots (22nd) and Carolina Panthers (27th) to start the playoffs.
Both of these are plus matchups and then in the fantasy football championship you get the Los Angeles Rams. This game could be for the Division Crown.
Trade Suggestions: Trade Jared Goff and Jaylen Warren or Pat Freiermuth for Kyler Murray
Other Trade Options: Tua Tagovailoa has been the QB2 overall over the last 4 weeks. Kirk Cousins has the 3rd best remaining schedule.
RB, David Montgomery – Detroit Lions
I wanted to put Tyrone Tracy Jr. here as a fantasy football trade target, but I want players on good offenses. Touchdowns bring upside and floor. A touchdown can be the deodorant on a stinky performance or could be the cherry on top of a great day. The beauty is that David Montgomery scored 11 touchdowns in 12 games this season. He has two games with multiple touchdowns this year as well. Gibbs is another trade target, over the past 3 weeks they are each inside the top 6 fantasy running backs.
They have been schedule-proof, but he walks into the 2nd best running back schedule for the rest of the season. They host the Green Bay Packers (16th) this week and the Buffalo Bills (30th) next week. Then they get the Chicago Bears (22nd) and the San Francisco 49ers (28th). Montgomery is not going to be a cheap piece to buy, but one worth the money spent.
Trade Examples: Kenneth Walker has the worst-rated schedule for running backs the rest of the season and Isiah Pacheco has the 2nd worst. I would use those players with bigger names on good offenses to acquire Montgomery. Tyrone Tracy has a good fantasy schedule but is on a bad offense. He is a player I would consider moving with a smaller piece to go get Montgomery.
RB, James Conner – Arizona Cardinals
James Conner and the Arizona Cardinals have the 3rd best fantasy running back schedule for the rest of the season. Conner just got paid and there are no signs of Trey Benson shortly. Conner has seen a slight decrease in his snaps, but his touches have remained high. In the past 6 games, Conner has failed to get at least 17 touches only once. During this time he has surpassed 20 touches 60% of the time. Look for the Cardinals to lean into him even more as they make a playoff push.
This week he gets the Seattle Seahawks who are allowing over 23 fantasy points per game. To start the fantasy football playoffs he gets New England who is allowing 22 plus points per game. In Week 16 Conner gets the Carolina Panthers who are allowing almost 30 points a game to the fantasy running back position. In the championship week, he gets the Los Angeles Rams who are allowing the 23rd most points per game (23.77).
Trade Examples: I would use a player like Rhamondre Stevenson plus a smaller piece to tier up to get Conner. Use the Week 14 bye weeks to your advantage and hope the Conner owners need some help.
Other Options: Rachaad White has stand-alone value on top of being a league-winning handcuff. Get rid of those WR4s and WR5s, and stash handcuffs just in case.
WR, Davante Adams – New York Jets
The Jets stink and I know that it is hard to trade for any of them right now. But, they have a juicy remaining schedule and they should be considered. The Wide Receivers have the 3rd best schedule and it includes the Los Angeles Rams and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Garrett Wilson could be another trade target as well, but Adams should be the cheaper option. We have seen him start to heat up over the last two weeks.
Volume is king and we know that Adams is going to get that. In the last 4 weeks, Davante Adams has been targeted 43 times. He also has reached the end zone twice in the past 4 games. All of the questions at Quarterback and the stinky Jets could work in your favor. Adams has been a league winner before and he could do it again this season for you.
Trade Examples: Jerry Jeudy just had a monster game on national television, his value will never be higher. Cedric Tillman will be back next week and Jeudy could easily go back to being Jerry Jeudy. You could get Davante Adams plus more for him right now.
WR, Ladd McConkey – Los Angeles Chargers
It is okay to buy high, especially when you are looking for that championship piece. Ladd could be a league-winner in any format but has a huge upside in any PPR league. The Chargers are playing for the playoffs and they have the 5th best fantasy schedule for wide receivers for the rest of the season. He is likely a luxury piece for your league-mates. A Rookie that average fans are not very familiar with that hasn’t built up a lot of credibility yet. FantasyPros has him WR16 in their rest of the season rankings.
A lot of players with name recognition below him that you could trade for him like D.K. Metcalf, Jayden Reed, and Garrett Wilson. Malik Nabers is right ahead of him in the rankings and he has the best rest of the season schedule for Wide Receivers. But, with the murky situation in New York, I would prefer McConkey at this point.
Trade Examples: Find the McCaffrey manager, and trade them a running back like Tony Pollard or D’Andre Swift. Jerry Jeudy is coming off a huge game, see if you can move him for Ladd or how close that is.
Other Options: Cedric Tillman is a buy-low candidate paired with gunslinger Jameis Winston.
TE, Cade Otton – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Cade Otton has slowed down a bit since Mike Evans has returned. But, all of the key indicators are out there that point towards a backup. Otton is playing around 90% of the snaps for the Buccaneers and he is running routes at a high rate. He saw 7 targets last week. His schedule is pristine and he is the tight end 12 on FantasyPros Rest of the Season Rankings. I have him at 10, and would prefer him over Evan Engram and Tucker Kraft.
Trade Examples: Rome Odunze, Cedric Tillman, or Michael Pittman Jr. for Cade Otton.
