Seattle Seahawks at New York Jets Preview and Predictions

Seattle Seahawks at New York Jets Preview and Predictions

Geno Smith and the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks embark on a journey to East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday. They’ll meet up with Aaron Rodgers, and the disappointing New York Jets at Metlife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX. Let’s take a look at this Seahawks-Jets preview and predictions.

Seattle comes into Week 13 off of a huge win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12. That win moved them from third place in the NFC West, to first. At 6-5 they hold the tie breaker over the Cardinals and sit in the playoffs currently.

The New York Jets season is well documented as a dumpster fire. They’ve fired their coach, their general manager and rumor has it Aaron Rodgers is ready to hit the road as well despite that. As of now, Rodgers is in line to start Sunday.

Kenneth Walker Over 59.5 Rushing Yards (-133)

Walker hasn’t been the most successful player on the ground over the Seahawks’ last few games. However, he’s shown the ability to have huge games this season including three games over the 80-yard mark on the ground.

The Jets’ defense hasn’t been great against the run this season either. They’ve allowed 130.1 yards per game on the ground in 2024, and 141.7 over the last three games. Six running backs have gone over this number against the Jets in 2024.

Seattle Seahawks +1 (-115)

How Seattle is an underdog in this game makes no sense to me. The New York Jets are a bad football team, with a lot of drama going on. Seattle is their division leader in Week 13, and Geno Smith is looking for revenge against the team who drafted him. There’s no need to overthink this one and the line, just take the better team.
