Merrimack heads to the RAC tonight to play Rutgers, and Scarlet Knights big man Zach Martini should get his.
Martini is averaging 11.0 points per game this year, and he’s cleared 7.5 points in two out of three games this year. The reason this is a playable number is because the strength of Merrimack is in its back court. The Warriors front court has been exposed this year, and Martini is coming off an 18-point game against Monmouth. Martini can also drain threes and make free throws in addition to the normal, big man post game.
Look for Martini to go higher than 7.5 points against a Merrimack team that struggles with capable bigs, and make sure he’s in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball lineup for November 20th.
Labaron Philon Higher Than 6.5 Rebounds+Assists
The Fighting Illini visit Alabama tonight, and Labaron Philon is in a great spot to fill up the stat sheet. Philon is averaging 3.5 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game this year, but that’s impacted by a game against McNeese in which he only played 21 minutes
Philon has cleared 6.5 rebounds and assists in three out of four games. He also just went for nine rebounds and assists in 27 minutes against Purdue. He should get a similar or larger workload, but at a faster pace against the Illini. This is a great spot for Philon to continue to produce, and you’ll want his rebounds + assists total in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for tonight.
Will McClendon Higher Than 10.5 Points
The San Jose State Spartans head to Los Angeles to face USC tonight. The Trojans have looked really disinterested on the defensive side of the ball, and that probably won’t change by tonight. San Jose State isn’t the most capable offensive team in the country, but guard Will McClendon should go higher than his listed point total.
McClendon is averaging 10.8 points through five games this year. McClendon has cleared 10.5 in three out of five games played. His only misses were a game against Life Pacific that saw him play 22 minutes and a road spot at Hawaii. It was a hard ticket to Hawaii for McClendon.
USC has struggled against opposing back courts and their defensive effort is lacking. Look for McClendon to clear 10.5 with ease, and get him in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for November 20th.
