Last night’s plays just missed a clean sweep. Gicarri Harris went lower than 2.5 rebounds, and Bruce Thornton picked up a steal against Youngstown State, but Trey Kaufman-Renn couldn’t find seven rebounds. The good news is that we get an even bigger and better slate for tonight, and we’ve found three plays that you need to know about before you build an Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for November 12.
Keep in mind that playing all three legs of our plays in Underdog Fantasy could win you 6X your money on a single entry.

Nick Pringle Higher Than 5.5 Rebounds+Assists
South Carolina big man Nick Pringle gets a tasty non-conference match up on Tuesday night against Towson. Pringle is averaging 8.0 rebounds and assists per game in his first two games this year, so why is this only 5.5? It’s likely because he only managed 5.8 rebounds and assists per game last year with Alabama.
Towson doesn’t really have an experienced big man to match Pringle’s size, and he’s already enjoyed an increased usage rate in his first two games with the Gamecocks. Pringle should dominate the paint and compile his way higher than 5.5 rebounds and assists against the Towson Tigers.
Darius Johnson Higher Than 4.5 Assists
UCF point guard Darius Johnson has exactly five assists in each of his last two games, so the number makes sense. However, Johnson has shown that he can clear it.
Johnson has also played 38 minutes in each of the Knights first two games this year. He averaged 32.7 minutes per game last year, and he managed 3.7 assists per game. Johnson’s usage rate is up this year, and he’s done a better job of distributing to his teammates. The Knights will need him to keep hooking his teammates up against Florida Atlantic.
UCF gets a tough match up against a feisty FAU team, but that means that Johnson will likely be on the court for the majority of the game and leading the Knights’ offense. He should play a similar minute load, and have no problem creating for his teammates. Johnson should compile his way to more than 4.5 assists as UCF and FAU grind their way through a one or two possession game.
Tyrese Higher Than 9.5 Points
Duke forward Tyrese Proctor has cleared 10 points in each of his first two match ups. He gets Kentucky in the third game of the season and should go higher than 9.5 points against the Wildcats.
Proctor has only averaged 24.0 minutes in his first two games after playing more than 30 minutes per game last season. He should see an extended run against Kentucky, and he’ll take advantage on the offensive end. He’s already playing key role in the Duke offense, and he’s likely to hit 30 minutes for the first time this year. The increased usage should help him go higher on his points total.
Proctor averaged 10.5 points last year, and went 10 points or higher in 19 out of 32 games played. Kentucky still has a leaky defense, and Proctor should have no problem getting loose on the wing. Look for Proctor to go higher than 9.5 points in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for November 12.
