Gicarri Harris Lower Than 2.5 Rebounds

This is the WTF number of the night. Gicarri Harris is a true freshman guard who has worked his way into Purdue’s back court rotation in the non-conference slate.

Harris has played at least 20 minutes in each of the first two games because the opponents were Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Northern Kentucky. Tonight the Boilermakers get Yale as their final tune up before playing Alabama and Marquette in back-to-back games.

Purdue will likely want to get their rotation solidified and give their starters a longer run in this one. Purdue is lacking depth in their front court, and they’ll want to give Braden Smith a chance to work with the remaining big men in their rotation.

Harris probably won’t get nearly the same usage against Yale as he got in his first two games.

Also, Harris pulled down two boards against Northern Kentucky, and only one against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Why is this set at 2.5 rebounds. Lock up Harris for lower than 2.5 rebounds in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for November 11.

Trey Kaufman-Renn Higher Than 6.5 Rebounds

Speaking of rebounds for Purdue, someone is going to need to grab a few against Yale. Zach Edey is in the NBA and Daniel Jacobson is out for the year with a tibia fracture. Kaufman-Renn is one of the few big men on the roster with experience, and he should get a normal workload against Yale. He may even get an extended run if the Bulldogs keep it close.

Kaufman-Renn is averaging 7.0 rebounds per game in his first two games. He also pulled down nine rebounds against Texas A&M-CC in 33 minutes.

There’s a good chance that Kaufman-Renn ends up closer to the 33 minute-workload against Yale, and the Bulldogs lack anyone with Kaufman-Renn’s combination of size, experience, and athleticism. He should compile his way to more than 6.5 rebounds listed at Underdog Fantasy

Bruce Thornton Higher than 0.5 Steals

This is another easy handicap. Ohio State point guard Bruce Thornton had at least one steal in eight out of 13 non-conference games he played in last year, and 0.5 is  too low for a defender like Thornton.

Thornton didn’t manage to pick anyone’s pocket in the Buckeyes’ match up against Texas. He should be able to get at least one steal in an easier match up against Youngstown State. Look for Thornton to go higher than 0.5 steals, and make sure he’s in your Underdog Fantasy college basketball entry for November 11th.
