Underdog Fantasy MLB Daily Pick ‘Em Plays – World Series Game 4

October is here. The playoffs are here. The best sports time of the year is here. If you aren’t familiar with playoff baseball, buckle up. Every pitch and every at-bat is important and can change the course of baseball history. Let’s get into it.

Luis Gil Higher Than 3.5 Hits Allowed

Luis Gil has just one career playoff start. It came in the ALCS against the Guardians, and to be honest, he pitched quite well. He allowed just two earned runs and three hits in 4.0 innings pitched. The problem with Gil can be his control. That doesn’t bode well against a team that swings at the least pitches out of the zone in baseball.

We saw walks become an issue for the Yankees in Game 3. Gil’s control issues lead me to believe he’ll leave some pitches over the heart of the plate that the Dodgers can get a few hits off of. It’s a brutal matchup for Gil, but he has the stuff to pitch a gem. We’ll see if things turn around for the Yanks in the starting pitching department.

Freddie Freeman Higher Than 7.0 Fantasy Points

It’s crazy how quickly things have changed for Freddie Freeman. The guy went from missing multiple games in the NLCS and looking like a shell of himself to leading this Dodgers team in the World Series. Freeman has a homer in each of these World Series games, and dating back to 2021, he has tied an MLB record homering in five consecutive World Series games.

It’s almost impossible not to count on him to do something productive in this spot. Freeman is seeing the ball well, whether it is righties or lefties. And with Gil’s spotty control, he’ll likely be on base quite a few times.
