MLB NRFI and YRFI Picks – October 20
New York Mets vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
First Pitch – 8:08 pm EST
Dodger Stadium – Los Angeles, California
Broadcast – FS1
We’re getting pick’em odds for the NRFI/YRFI here largely due to the uncertainty of the Dodgers pitching situation. It appears that they are going to go with another bullpen day – much like they did in game two. In that game, Ryan Braiser gave up a run in the first and Landon Knack gave up five runs over the next two innings. I’m not sure who will get the nod first in this one, but I do know that I trust the Mets to make it hard on them.
The bottom of the inning will see Sean Manaea try to keep things at bay. Even if we don’t get a run from the Mets in the top of the inning, I could see the Dodgers getting to Manaea. While he’s looked better since he tried his new arm slot, he still has had issues here and there. In his last four starts, he’s allowed ten earned runs – resulting in a 4.35 ERA in that span. With the Dodgers putting up 7.2 runs per game in the series, I think we should see a first inning run here.
