Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts Preview and Predictions

A game in which we have several questions at the quarterback position is a game we probably won’t have on the TV. The Miami Dolphins are coming off a bye week and will have Tyler “Snoop” Huntley starting at quarterback. Meanwhile, the Colts should see Anthony Richardson return under center after missing several weeks due to an injury. A huge game for both teams if they want a chance to make the playoffs. Below are the Miami Dolphins at the Indianapolis Colts preview and predictions.

As I mentioned above, both teams are dealing with quarterback injuries as Tua continues to be out for the Dolphins. The Dolphins did come out and say they do expect Tua to play again at some point in 2024. Furthermore, another year and injuries continue to haunt Anthony Richardson. However, Richardson did fully practice this week for the Colts.

Additionally, the Colts will be without running back Jonathan Taylor who continues to deal with an ankle injury and did not practice as of Friday. The Colts are coming off an impressive division victory against the Titans led by Joe Flacco.

Throw the stats and trends out the window for this matchup, it’s a question if we can trust the Miami Dolphins to do anything on offenses coming out of the bye week. The bye week couldn’t have come at a better time for the Dolphins to make the proper adjustments. Meanwhile, questions continue to surround Anthony Richardson but I do believe he can have success running the football in this game.

The Colts have been very good at home under Shane Steichen. Since he took over as the head coach for this team, the Colts are 9-3 ATS at home and a perfect 3-0 ATS this season. The Colts find ways to win games and at home in this spot I like them to win this game and cover the spread.

Best Bet: Colts -3

Jonnu Smith Over 2.5 Receptions

During the bye week, the Dolphins offensive coordinator said when Jonnu Smith has the football in his hands good things happen. Smith had a good game against the Patriots going for five receptions and 62 receiving yards. The Colts defense against tight ends is allowing close to six receptions per game and 46 receiving yards. Coming out off the bye week, I expect someone else other than Hill and Waddle to be involved in the offense.
